RPK as counterpart to M249

The RPK with a drum mag could be the Russian counterpart to the m249, while functioning in a similar way.

AFAIK different T and CT weapons are planned already.

I think the PKM (which is also belt fed) would be a better counterpart, the RPK reloads just like an AKM does. However... maybe the RPK and then the HK-21E or HK-23E as a counterpart to that? Both of those had drum magazine setups or belt fed setups.
